YMoS took on the first phase (project and concept development) of the creation of a private lodge in the Karma game ranch in area of the Vaal triangle, Meyerton, Gauteng.
Set on a total of 700 Ha of nature with 20 sectional title stands as well as a boutique hotel, the assignment is to build an iconic designed family sized lodge with all modern comforts and safety, but embracing the splendid nature.
A balance will have to be found in eco sustainable materials as well as modern comfort and design. Simplicity, secluded spaces and security are key words.
Intelligent and efficient climate control technology in the lodge are supportive to the comfort. Completely ’off grid’ of electricity, water and sanitation is the technical brief. Security features will have to blend into the environment allowing a ‘lock up and go’. A stunning architectural design will make it a lasting icon.
Last but not least, the building should blend into the original nature, allowing the roaming animals to come close to the lodge and the garden as if the lodge was never there. It is a project where we can combine our passion and technical ‘know how’. Enclosed some pictures of its settings to show you the possibilities.
